The “Belyi Veter – Ekaterinburg” company was founded on 20 July 1995 as a branch of the well-known concern “Belyi Veter” (Moscow). It was the first and unrivaled computer store in Ekaterinburg at that time. Product range included more than one thousand items. It majored in portable computers of the leading world producers.

In 1996 “Belyi Veter” concern attracted its regional partner AOOT “Uralskoye medizinskoye strahovaniye” (now – OOO “UMS – Invest”) to take part in investment and management of the company. OOO “UMS – Invest” invested heavily in fixed and working capital of the company giving it an opportunity to become a major retailer in the Ural region. The company was broadening its product range generating and boosting sales. It offered brand-new computer equipment to its customers. Ekaterinburg citizens and guests knew the company store on ul.8-Marta 13 as a computer center. If someone wanted a notebook, the first place he went was that store.

After the crisis in 1998, the company did not slow down its activity; moreover, it refreshed the store by enlarging its floor space, and broadened the product range.  Taking into account the crisis consequences and the economic situation in the country, the company introduced notebooks of Roverbook, the first domestic producer of portable computers. Moreover, the company started to assemble the computers of its own production.

In 2001 due to the increase in turnover, the company relocated its warehouse, technical center and subsidiary office to the building in Verh-Isetskiy district. One year later the company opened there the computer center “Verh-Isetskiy”.  It accommodated a computer store, game-playing club, service center and wholesale department. Citizens of Verh-Isetskiy district enjoyed the advantages of good product range, prices and convenient location of the new computer center.

Since 2003, one of the company’s major activities has been digital photo. We offer our clients more than 100 different models of digital cameras and a broad accessory range to them. The photo equipment products of the leading producers such as Canon, Konica-Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, and Pentax are always available in our stores. Besides, we offer a wide range of Sony photo and video equipment.

In 2004, a special show room for portable computers was opened in the Central computer center on ul.8-Marta 13.  We displayed there about 100 notebooks of almost all well-known foreign and Russian producers. Our center gives the customer an opportunity to choose their “own” notebook. The notebooks range in price from 20 000 to over 120 000 rubles. Only here can the customer compare different notebooks and choose the best one.

In 2004, the company opened another store on ul.Belinskogo 152/1. The image of this store differs from the other two stores of the company. It is a “home” store for the local community. It doesn’t have huge customer flow or large floor space, but it has professional and attentive consultants who will help customer to choose the best option in the entire product range.

“Belyi Veter – Ekaterinburg” company continues to develop.  We plan to open new stores, broaden the product range, and offer more favorable terms of purchasing.
